After running the rat race for a few years following college, I eventually hit a rock bottom. I remember dreading waking up everyday, commuting an hour to the office and an hour home, stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, clocking in and out of soul sucking job after soul sucking job, I felt like I was just dragging through life. Daydreaming out a way out.

I was good at my job, but never felt fulfilled . I was tired of overworking just to be under-appreciated. my spirit was crying for a redirection and desperately craved making a positive impact with my existence.

I knew deep down I wasn’t designed to be confined to an office, but I thought it was the only way. I feared walking away from the corporate world and didn’t want to disappoint my parents by not utilizing my degree. I thought I had to work for a company that offered benefits or else I wouldn’t survive. I worried that taking a different route would ruin my resume I spent years building.

Prioritizing pleasing other people caused me to put my dreams to be put on pause and is ultimately why I stayed stuck in the system for so long. I was caught up by external validation that I forgot what I wanted deep down.

From the outside looking in, it seemed like I had everything I could ever want, yet still didn’t feel like I was pursuing my passions.

I reached my breaking point. I wasn’t living the life I wanted to be living. I didn’t want to settle down yet, I didn’t care for the flashy job title, I’m not looking to raise a family anytime soon. Heck, I’m only 27 and I realized that just because most people my age have that kind of life doesn’t mean I have to too.

When the pandemic hit, I was let go from my 9-5 (which turned out to be a blessing in disguise) and wasn’t sure what my next move was going to be. Even though I had so many limiting beliefs around entrepreneurship, but continued circling back around to the idea of starting my own a business.

More than anything, I craved time, location, and financial freedom.

Refusing to be sucked back into the matrix, my mission then became figuring out how to escape it once and for all.

Since becoming a distributor, I have built my business online and get to travel at my leisure. This opportunity allows me to work and grow my business from anywhere in the world.

This is when I stumbled upon an opportunity to have an online business using social media that paid out high ticket commissions, didn’t have any set hours or locations, and allowed me to sell an in demand product that already existed.

My mentor, Lindsay, was a huge expander of me and the reason why I kept coming back to the idea of becoming a distributor. I stumbled upon her page years ago and watch her so passionately pursue her dreams on social media. She helped me see to believe that it was possible to live more and work less with network marketing.

The excuses for why I wasn’t ready to start a business continued and I let them get in the way. I knew the product could sell itself, but basically it came down to me not feeling like i was capable of being a leading a team and i didn’t believe I had what it took to sell anyone anything.

I knew I had to face my fears of judgement and failure if I wanted anything to change

I discovered that my dream was to be a digital nomad and to see the world and this opportunity with Enagic was my ticket out.

I knew it was a risk, but a risk I was willing to take and that not taking action was the greatest risk of all. 

I didn’t want to end up down the road full of disappointment and regret, wishing I would’ve had the courage and confidence to break free.
